Abel Tasman holiday fun
April/May 2009: In the Easter holidays we drove the 30 minutes to Kaiteriteri and sailed in to Abel Tasman National Park, camping on one of the beautiful beaches. Our boat, a Scout cutter, was open-decked and very much an elemental experience. We explored Adele Island, found penguins in their burrows on Fisherman Island, while at night we had an exciting time following eels in the lagoon behind our campsite. Magic!
Guests to Corru Gate love the proximity to the Abel Tasman - they can walk, water taxi or even sail in like we did.
